Junior Associate, Competition/Anti-trust

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Associate to join our Competition team at KST Law in cooperation with Kinstellar. This is an exceptional opportunity to cooperate with skilled professionals and provide top-quality advice and consultation to our premium clients.

We bring to the table deep understanding of legislative details across multiple jurisdictions, together with the proven ability to quickly develop strategies that will protect your business and deliver results. Our experts have helped to clear some of the largest transactions in the region and assist both international and domestic investors with the full range of competition and state aid issues.

We have diverse experience across a broad range of sectors and have overseen successful outcomes in matters involving: merger control, joint ventures, unfair competition, abuse of dominant position, cartel agreements, dawn raids/cartel busting and public procurement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on all aspects of Turkish competition law, including merger control, anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominance, and compliance programs;
  • Assisting clients during investigations by Turkish competition authorities, including preparation for dawn raids and representing clients in related proceedings;
  • Drafting and submitting merger control filings, leniency applications, and other regulatory documents;
  • Conducting competition law audits and developing compliance programs tailored to client needs;
  • Preparing and reviewing legal opinions, memos, and reports on competition law matters;
  • Supporting senior lawyers in managing complex cross-border cases and transactions;
  • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to identify business risks and provide effective solutions;
  • Staying up to date with changes in Turkish and EU competition law and sharing insights with clients and colleagues.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Law degree from a reputable university;
  • Previous practical experience of 1-2 years in competition/antitrust law, gained either at an international or a major domestic law firm;
  • Strong academic background and work ethic;
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Turkish;
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and a track record of meeting strict deadlines;
  • Punctuality and attention to detail;
  • Exceptional time-management, prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple legal matters within a demanding work environment;
  • Can-do attitude, high level of integrity, and intellectual curiosity;
  • Proactive and self-starter attitude;
  • Team player with a passion for excellence.
